BEST, (Building Environmentally-conscious Schools Together), was a collaborative event initatied in March 2009 by Mentoring Partnership International (MPI), a non-profit organisation that sought to help people release their innate abilities. It was led by Mr Thomas Chong, the CEO. MPI, through its executive, Ms Sharon Tan collaborated with Ngee Ann Polytechnic, ASKnLearn Pte Ltd and Temasek Polytechnic on the BEST project.
ASKnLearn conducted a workshop at Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Business and Accountancy (BA) computer labs. Participants were taught how to develop good websites with interactive features using tools like Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver. They were also guided along with the help of student mentors from the School of BA's SPIN@BA BIT . The mentors which consists of mainly students from the Diploma in Business Information Technology (BIT) were delighted with the many creative and interesting designs conceived by the students. ASKnLearn even gave out prizes to the team with the best designs.
